Shri Ramesh Chandra Lahoti hasserved as the Secretary of Bangalore Wholesale Pulses & Food Grains Merchants Association, later he became the President of the above mentioned association. As a Chairman he has ably guided several committees in FKCCI like APMC, GST, Membership, Labour, Internal Trade, and International Trade. He was instrumental in creating an umbrella body for APMC, the APMC Yards Committee.
Some of the achievements are
- Stopping a MNC from trading in APMC products.
- Prohibiting any market to operate within 50kms radius of APMC yard.
- Making 0% VAT for all essential commodities.
- 0% GST for essential commodities.
His strength is ability to work with policy makers irrespective who is at the helm of affairs in the State Government. He does several CSR activities and instrumental in starting a co-operative society.
