FKCCI’s concern on the toll payment for Bengaluru – Mysuru Express Highway

At the outset FKCCI congratulates the Central Government and the National Highway Authority for setting up a World Class Express Highway between Bengaluru and Mysuru which is highly appreciable. The Travel time between Bengaluru – Mysuru has been considerably reduced which is beneficial for Trade and Industries and the public. Many more such Express Highways are required in our State.

It is observed that the Toll payment is being commenced without proper development of service roads which is very essential and it is suggested that the toll charges to be collected only after paving the way for the Districts and Townships between Bengaluru – Mysuru. At present the Industrial Sector, Transport Sector and the surrounding villages are facing hurdles.
Further, the Toll is being collected for the entire stretch of the Express Highway. It is suggested that a proportionate toll to be collected kilometer wise depending upon the distance travelled by them.

FKCCI submits its concerns that the Trade, Industry and Business Sectors along with the general public are affected by the toll payment without completion of the service roads, which will further escalate the prices.
