Cuban delegation comprising Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz visited FKCCI on 10th March, 2023 along with the Minister the delegation comprised H.E. Mr. Alejandro Simancas Marin, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to India, H.E. Ms. Deborah Rivas Saavedra, Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Mr. Ovel Concepcion Diaz, HOD Department of Generation of Renewable Energy Resources, National Electric Union. Mr. David Roger Curbelo Rodriguez HOD, Department of Business and Marketing BioCubaFarma, Ms. Yisel Gonzalez Marrero HOD, Commercial Department, Ministry of Agriculture, Ms. Jacqueline Mercedes Pedrouzo Obregon HOD Department of Investments and Exploitation of Generation with Renewable Sources, EnergoImport.

FKCCI was represented by Mr. B V Gopal Reddy, President, Mr. M G Balakrishna, Vice President, Dr. V G Kiran Kumar, Chairman, International Affairs Committee, Mr. R Shiva Kumar, Past President, Mr. Ramesh Shivanna, Chairman, Energy Committee, Mr. Vimal R Khanter, Chairman, Internal Trade Committee, FKCCI.

Both the parties discussed opportunities for investments in Renewable Energy, Natural Gas, Mining, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture Industries. The Minister suggested to initiate a pilot project and conduct feasibility study and expand if the business prospers. Ambassador suggested that FKCCI should create opportunities for both Cuban and Indian Companies to initiate business delegations. The Minister invited the President and FKCCI delegation to Havana. Mr. B V Gopal Reddy agreed and accepted the invitation.
