Consul-General Nitirooge Phoneprasert attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Thai Chamber of Commerce represented by Mr. Sanun Angubolkul, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) represented by Mr. B V Gopal Reddy, President of FKCCI.

This activity was part of the events during the visit of the Karanataka Business Delegation to Thailand organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chennai from 25-28 May 2023.

This MOU is an initiative of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai under the economic diplomacy which aims to promote the joint collaboration between the private sectors of both sides. The MoU will help facilitate business matching, support exporters and enterprises to expand operation in the two countries, jointly organize seminars and training to tap on the market potential of the State of Karnataka of India and Thailand in major sectors such as energy, electric mobility, health, information technology, agriculture, food processing and tourism.

The MoU also puts forward the scope of activities for both parties to facilitate business matching, support exporters and enterprises to expand operation in the two countries, jointly organize seminars and training to tap on the market potential of Karnataka and Thailand and provide regular information on how to do business in Karnataka and Thailand.
