Shri M G Balakrishna, President, FKCCI participated in the Parliamentary Committee on Commerce on “Performance Evaluation and Review of Some Commodity Boards”

Shri M G Balakrishna, President, FKCCI participated in the Parliamentary Committee on Commerce on “Performance Evaluation and Review of Some Commodity Boards” along with Ms. Uma Reddy, Sr. Vice President, Shri T Sairam Prasad, Vice President and Secretary General today at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru.

The Committee was headed by the Chairperson Ms. Dola Sen and Members from Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha including Dr. Sangeetha Balwant, Smt. Renuka Chowdhury, Shri Ramesh Awasthi, Shri Santosh Pandey, Shri Shreyas M Patel, Smt. Anita Subhadarshini and Shri Pathan Yusuf etc.

The President addressed the Committee with key issues relating to the impact of Coffee Board Policies on Small Scale Farmers & Exporters, Research. Innovation, Infrastructure, Market Access, and Sustainability.

He also submitted a Memorandum on the key issues relating to the Coffee Sector in Karnataka to the Committee Chairperson, Ms. Dola Sen and Shri K G Jagadeesha, IAS, CEO & Secretary, Coffee Board and they expressed that the issues expressed by FKCCI will be taken into consideration.
