FKCCI welcomes Karnataka Budget – 2025-26 – a Pragmatic Blueprint for Growth – FKCCI.

FKCCI President, Sri M.G. Balakrishna acknowledged the comprehensive budget presented by Honorable Chief Minister Sri Siddaramaiah for the fiscal year 2025-26, affirming that it reflects a concerted effort to balance infrastructural development, industrial growth, and socio-economic welfare. A gist of the assessment made by FKCCI is given below:

Overall Highlights

FKCCI welcomes the expansion of Bengaluru Metro to Kempegowda International Airport, apart from tunnel projects under Brand Bengaluru are expected to enhance urban mobility, reduce congestion, and improve the ease of doing business in the region.

Key measures to invigorate the industrial and trade sectors are tax waivers for hybrid vehicles and incentives for electric vehicles (EVs), aligning with global sustainability trends and encouraging the adoption of cleaner technologies.

Such initiatives are expected to attract investments from automotive manufacturers and ancillary industries, thereby enhancing the state’s industrial landscape.

The Budget emphasizes balanced regional development with targeted allocations for various districts. Investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare across the state are designed to ensure equitable growth, reduce regional disparities, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

However, the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects requires meticulous planning and coordination. Delays or inefficiencies could impede the anticipated benefits.

FKCCI welcomes the move for a separate MSME Policy being framed for achieving Karnataka’s Sustainable Development Goals, which will accelerate the economy and mitigate regional imbalances. This has been a long-standing request of FKCCI and we thank the Government for implementing it.

While the expansive budget aims to drive growth, maintaining fiscal discipline is crucial to prevent long-term financial imbalances.

Overall FKCCI acknowledges the Government’s vision and urges strategic implementation to transform Karnataka into a more dynamic and investment friendly state.
