FKCCI Strengthens Bilateral Trade Ties with South Africa through High-Level Interaction Meeting

An Interaction Meeting was held with Mr. Gideon Lebane, Consul General of South Africa, Mr. Zipho Zama, Consul-Political, and Mr. Ranjan Kumar, Advisor – Business Development, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral trade relations between India and South Africa.

Smt. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI, along with Mr. T. Sairam Prasad, Senior Vice President, Mr. B. P. Shashidhar, Vice President, Ms. Susheema Vidyaratnaraj, Chairperson, Global/PSU Trade Connect–B2B Committee, Past Presidents, and Members of the Managing Committee participated in the interaction.

Both sides explored potential areas of collaboration in sectors such as manufacturing, mining, agriculture, renewable energy, technology, and skill development. The Consul General emphasized the strong historic and economic ties between India and South Africa and expressed interest in facilitating trade delegations and business exchanges between the two countries.

Ms. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI highlighted the opportunities for partnership between South African enterprises and Karnataka-based industries, inviting South African representatives to participate in upcoming FKCCI’s International MSME Conclave and B2B networking events organized by the Federation.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to enhance mutual cooperation and work towards establishing a sustainable platform for business engagement between South Africa and Karnataka.
