This organization is now poised
for taking another leap forward. This age-old institution is all
geared up for positioning itself as the premier Chamber of Commerce
and Industry in the Southern region. The new strategy will lead to
the strengthening of the organization with a more responsive constitution
to meet emerging challenging, a stronger Secretariat, and a stronger,
more effective operating frame.
In tune with the new realities and dynamics of present-day Business and
Industry, membership categories have been changed to Small, Medium and
Large, both in Trade and Industry. Knowledge-based Service Activities
have been identified as new categories, again on the basis of Small,
Medium and Large. District and other associations have been separately
categorized.
The sub-categories for Small-scale and Medium /
Large-scale members are: (a) Manufacturing, (b) Trading, (c) Services
and (d) Professions / Knowledge-based services.
